Dear all.

I know there are several questions about this topic, BUT Landsat missions developed in the last years with new processing methods and corrections.

So, my question is how to convert directly DN's to TOA Reflectances for Landsat 7 ETM+ data, downloaded by Collection 2 without using reflectance values, but directly this conversion:

ρλ′=MρQcal+Aρ

explained here

https://www.usgs.gov/landsat-missions/landsat-collection-2-level-1-data.

Lots of past methods explain that to obtain TOA Reflectances it is necessary to convert before DN's to Radiances and then to Reflectances (such as here explained https://yceo.yale.edu/how-convert-landsat-dns-top-atmosphere-toa-reflectance).

But now, with Collection 2 Data, is it still necessary or is possible to use directly the radiometric scaling factors, also for Landsat 7 (ETM+), and even older sensors such as Landsat 5 (TM)?

Thanks so much!
