In simscape i want to control the speed of the motor.Firstly i used the rectifier with lc filter and then it is fed to three phase inverter and the three output is given to the motor.Here i used the permanent magnet synchronous machine but i am facing the problem in pmsm machine that how to change the parameters .Could u please help me with this problem.But i know was by changing the frequecy of pulse generator we can control the speed of the motor.But in am unable to change the parameters
Firstly i recommande that you begin with a DC battery in the DC side instead of a rectifier to simplify the control scheme, if it works well you can add more components and extend the system.
To control a PMSM you can't do that, the input voltages must be synchronized with the rotor position. The speed is function of the load torque and electromagnetic torque, so you have to make a closed loop control, where a speed controller (PI) gives the electromagnetic torque reference, and then you can use a control technique to generate the appropriate gate pulses, the control technique can be the hysteresis current control, field oriented control, direct torque control ...., here a general scheme showing how to do it.
To control the speed of the PMSM you have to use a closed loop control with a controller (PI or fuzzy PI ...), the input of your controller will be the difference between the speed of your PMSM and speed reference, the output of your controller will be the electromagnetic torque reference. With the electromagnetic torque reference you can generate the appropriate pulses for your converter using techniques such as hysteresis current control, DTC, FOC, SPWD, SVM ....
But i want to control the speed of the motor in open loop i tried it by giving the dc supply to rotor but the cutrent it is drawing is more than intial current which has been given by the motor
