We have sieved Sigma-Aldrich pure sulphur which has a very heterogeneous particle size distribution ranging from approximately 2 to 100 µm. Sieving works well to separate the large particles. However, due to I assume electrostatic forces there are many agglommerates of small particles as well as many small particles that adhere to the large particles.

Does anybody have any recommendations for de-agglomeration; methods for controlling stable suspensions, heat treatment to coarsen / sinter agglomerated small particles?
