Hi,

I would like to perform a range of soil analyses on samples collected in Indonesia. The analyses must be done in the UK...

I was considering soil biological analyses such soil microbial biomass, bacteria:fungi ratio, protein extraction, metabolic quotient, or other...

How should the sample be kept protected if to travel to other side of the planet...?

Or should I just convince the University that it is better to do the analyses in a close-by good laboratory rather than risking to spoil the results?

Their guidelines imposes a preference for soil analyses at the University itself to make use of the expensive facilities... but that is quite constraining.
