I am looking for large datasets including information on soils (texture, depths, carbon , etc.) and their location (GPS coordinates or climates data).
Any suggestions?
Any large studies which would have left their data available for free in repositories?
My objective is to help people find time series on soil carbon on this thread (easily find this discussion with a google search). Thus it could a great reference and link list.

It is not clear the types of recommendations needed. Moreover, types of soil and duration of study should be known .

You may have seen my response to your first question. One of the attached papers (the first one) was based on a publicly available time series of samplings. We used 41 years and by now there should be data for another 10 years available. The samplings and storage of data takes place at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden. Any region, any biome, as long as the dataset is large (at least a decade).

My recommendation is to contact soilgrids / isric people (Thomas Hengl, Niels Batjes, www.isric.org). They are among the best people to contact about large soil databases.
There is also people from the Land-Atmosphere Interaction Research Group at Sun Yat-sen university (http://globalchange.bnu.edu.cn/research/soilw ), who published several global and regional soil databases, recently. Wei Shangguan is the name in the top of my head.
