Only 3 treatments? I think these three treatments must be included under main plot treatments and you must also include other treatments like varieties may be around 4 or more treatments in subplots so as to analyze interaction between main and subplot and performance of subplot treatments viz variety under different main plot treatment with the help of split plot design...
