Hello fellow researchers (English isn't my first language, sorry if my question isn't clear)
I'm a new master's student in immunology/virology and I'm presently working on TCR (mice).
I'm trying to put together a full TCRb sequence (Vb, Db, Jb, Cb) to send to a company that will make me a plasmid.
But I'm not sure how. I found the IMGT website where all the TCR regions are listed. But when I click on , for example, TRBV 13-4*01, it gives me the sequence in amino acids or nucleotides, but there are some ''gaps'' and I'm not sure what it means.
I'm also not sure how to put up all the different regions together. They seem to overlap on the IMGT website. When I take all the V-D-J-C regions that I want and put them together, I get a sequence of around 785 amino acids...which isn't right?
I'm a bit lost and my molecular biology skills are really bad.
Can someone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks !
