Try the following:

1. use get_parent() in your changed_cb() function and then call the destroy() on parent ( in this case dialog )

2. pass dialog object reference as combobox.connect('changed', self.changed_cb, dialog) and then call the dialog.destroy()

Please let me know, I have not tired any of the above but hopefully this could guide you.
