We want to clean manually (and regularly) the optical sensor of our device. We know it is a delicate piece of equipment so we are looking for practical indications, video, or any type of help.
I've met similar devices and when it speaks of 'lens tissue' they really do mean that - wood pulp fibres for generic tissues don't have the same quality control, and it takes a microscopic amount of some non-vegetative debris and you've a marred surface.
Practically, if the debris is large and obvious (a fingerprint, a crumb of something (!)) then a medical cotton bud moistened in 50:50 distilled water and iso-propyl alcohol is what I use for infra-red detector faces - and shouldn't do much harm if gently applied.
