I have some microvials that go into liners for TDU analysis. They have been sitting in open air for a while now. I want to bake them to make them clean for the GC analysis. Is there a special recommendation for cleaning vials by heating them?

Rinse the glassware with the appropriate solvent. And then use deionized water for those water-soluble residues, and use ethanol for ethanol-soluble residues, followed by rinsing in deionized water. Also rinse the glassware with other solvents if necessary, followed by rinsing the glassware with ethanol and finally with deionized water. And if the glassware requires advanced cleaning to remove the remains of organic matter, you can use a special brush while cleaning with hot soapy water and then rinse well with tap water, followed by rinsing with deionized water.

rinse in a non-polar solvent then a polar solvent then deionized water.
