I have peptides that are synthesized in powder form from the sequence predicted through bioinformatic tools. I need to check its antimicrobial activity by antimicrobial susceptibilty assay. I need the standard protocol of how to conduct the assay and which bacterial strain should I use for this study? How to know that the antimicrobial peptide is effective to particular strain?
Please guide me with the standard protocol and how should I analyse the results?

One method was previously published by a highly famous scientist and expertise (Prof. Bob Hancock at Vancouver University, Canada) as a modification of microdilution method of CLSI. Thank you for the answer Jameel M. Abduljalil . Can resauzurin be used for MIC determination of the peptide at the end of Microdilution method?
As I stated previously, peptides AST is not standardized yet and lots are to be taken into consideration. Resazurin was used and validated in MIC evaluation of standard antibiotics/bacterial species. But, I have no idea whether it is okay to be used for peptide AST or not.

In this article at 5th protocol its clearly written how to test. For bacterial strain, ATCC culture should be used and finally can be tried on clinical isolates
