I am trying to achieve SAM (MPTMS) on Glass slides by dipping the hydroxylated-glass (O2-plasma) into 5mM solution of MPTMS for 30mins in the ambient environment. I wanted to characterize the quality of SAM by linking fluorophores to it so that I could quickly observe in Optical Microscope; I don't have access to XPS etc. Can someone suggest a fluorophore which is reactive to a sulfhydryl group (-SH) and should simply immobilize by dip-coating?

I have attached the schematics of SAM which supposedly I should achieve.
