Just take a set of experimental data and compare with same data obtained in the model. Try the set of experimental data to be complete enough to describe well the reality, then you can see if the assumption of your model are correct.

If there are differences then you have to rearrange your model. Try to obtain a smart sets of experimental data so that you can know what you have to change in each step of rearrangement.

First is advisable to compare your inputs with reality inputs, say for example the modulus, then obtain smatr sets of data and rearrange model, refine mesh, define good BC, etc.
