In my application, I would like to install Y capacitor for EMI suppression on DC side of Inverter. The intended installation would be between positive bus and earth as well as Negative bus and earth. The voltages are nearly 1500Vdc.
Does anyone has literatures on the calculation of Y capacitor for DC applications?

You want to install these caps on the output side - but on the DC buses ?
I'd suggest against (positioning these caps from the rails to earth)!
The rationale: EMI would have to "cross" your output transistors to "reach" these caps. If you consider a filter, put it to the "AC side" (the output) of the inverter. There you can use the "classic" formulas: "bigger is better" (regarding the capacitance value) - "but observe the AC current conducted via these capacitors!". In effect, the current to ground via these capacitors "is an issue" due to capacitor heating and ground look currents. But EMI filters are always some compromise...
BTW: you may want to add some filter choke(s) as well.

Send details. Do you want EMI suppression only or also noise/ripple filtering on the DC side? What measurements have you taken that lead you to believe this is required?
