I would like to seek for help. I have obtained a calibration curve for TC and IC, with an R² value of 0.998. After generating this curve, I estimated QC controls for both low and high levels of TC and IC. However, I'm unsure how to interpret these results using the calibration curve on the Shimadzu SSM 5000A TOC. I also plan to analyze my bio-based material alongside PHA and PLA, but I’m unclear about the appropriate weight to use.

To calculate TOC for PHA and PLA, weigh a sample amount that, when dissolved in a known volume, produces a carbon concentration within your calibration curve range. Then, measure TC and IC with the Shimadzu SSM 5000A, calculate TOC as TC minus IC, and convert it to mg C per gram of sample using the sample weight and solution volume.
