I have a 24 slots 4 poles PM machine. There are 3 options for three-phase single-layer winding. Phase A of these 3 options are:

Option #1: 1 to 6, 12 to 7, 13 to 18 and 24 to 19. (whole coil)

Option #2: 1 to 7, 2 to 8, 13 to 19 and 14 to 20. (half coil with mush end connections)

Option #3: 1 to 8, 2 to 7, 13 to 20 and 14 to 19. (half coil with concentric end connections)

My questions are

Do these different configurations affect the back EMF of the machine?

How can I calculate the pitch factor of these three configurations?
