I work with Li-S battery and I am trying Nitrogen-doped Porous carbon as a cathode material. The Capacity at 0.05C is approx 1000 mAh/g for the first cycle. The issue is that it almost take 1 day to get 1 cycle, and I see most of the publication report for 100 cycle! Does that means they run their battery for weeks?
Also how to calculate the Coulombic efficiency graph?

Yes to get many cycles ca. 100 the battery has to take several days. If you want to decrease the time just increase the C-rate> Also you need to do rate capability and choose the appropriate C-rate. Efficiency is the division of discharge / charge capacity *100

You don't need to wait 100 days (for example) to run your setup.
There are some discharge standard tests, specific for each type of the battery which last several seconds but simulates the entire thermal behavior of the cell which is a very time-saving method.

I am agreed with respected A.M.A. Hashem, but i want to say that i observed in many papers that the during 1st cycle, the discharge capacity is more than charge capacity, then the coulombic efficiency will be greater than 100 %, on the other hand, the coulombic efficiency will be less than 100 % if charge capacity is divided by discharge capacity which is basically not correct, in some paper, the authors showed the formula discharge /charge capacities but their results are according to the reverse calculations, please comments
