I want to calculate the carrier concentration of a compound for the density of states. To find the carrier concentration is it only need to know the effective mass of electron or hole and the band gap value? is the following formula enough for intrinsic semiconductor?

ni = n = p = (NCNV)1/2 exp(-EG/2kT)

NC = 2(2π m*C kT/h²]3/2 NV = 2(2π m*V kT/h²]3/2 Where the symbols have their usual meaning.
