Hello, I am working on my master thesis in economics. I try to measure the technical efficiency of the European dairy sector. I understand Stochastic production frontiers and some DEA, but I cannot manage to get reasonable results from stata (have to use this program). I tried Xtfrontier, but that seems outdated? Sfpanel: I am probably in the flat part of the LN curve, because I get like 100 or more iterations and weird results (like complete insignificant models, cannot find beginning values, etc.)... So now I tried DEA, but my sample is too big I think. My computer cannot handle it. Does anyone know how to solve>? Yes I am familiar with the stata journal, this forum and a lot of other stuff. I understand it quite a bit, but I just cant get any results out of stata and I do not know why. Any ideas>?
I have usually used program DEAP. The files with results of DEA need only be converted to excel.
