I understand that the peak load at that specific deformation is to be taken but how do we get the % in degradation (is it by % decrease from one load to another)? Additionally, do we compare peak loads from say 20mm deformation with peak loads from 30mm deformation or do we compared peak loads from 20mm, 1st cycle with degraded loads from the 2nd cycle of the same 20mm deformation. Attached is a visual of the hysteresis loop to show what i meant. Thanks in advance.

In this paper cyclic tests are classified in three groups in order to investigate the degradation characteristics of the selected RC specimens more specifically rather than considering the complete database with various material and geometrical parameters as well as different loading histories.

You have to pay attention to the envelop curves and their characteristic points.

Multitude of constant stiffness deformation alongside, sort of, vice-versa would suggest deriving conclusions from resilience envelope changes.
