There would be two ways to measure the "speed" of rooting: (1) the number of formed roots and (2) the growing of formed roots. If you're using gelled media, you just need to count the number of roots formed every day or measuring the diary growth of roots formed. Hope it help you.

Other possibility is count the number of roots at the end of the assessment period and divide the whole number of roots by the total number of rooting days (taking as the day 1 the first day in which you see the first root) in this way you can also express the rooting speed.
