I am doing acetilization of cyclohexanone with methanol with molar ratio1:4. The weight of catalyst, zsm-5 is 0.04g. How to calculate the reactant to catalyst ratio?
The important question ere is why you want to do this. If this is some kind of normalization, it would be better to normalize the number of moles of reactants (just use the limiting reactant) with respect to the number of acid sites (seeing that this is the scalable parameter). If you want to scale up the experiment, then any ratio would do.
