Data on median and standard deviation of urine output for a sample size of 65 is given and I was wondering how to calculate the mean. I suppose the study is non-normally distributed because it specified "non-normally distributed parameters were analysed by Mann–Whitney U test".

Dear Wei En Lim , You do not may calculate the mean, if there is an asymetric distribution and You do not know some information about the type of distribution.

If the data are available, the mean can be calculated from them directly. However this will, just, depend on the sample, as expected.
