how can I calculate the loading efficiency of volatile drug through TGA ?
one of plain polymeric nanoparticles and other polymeric nanoparticles loaded with volatile drug
i have not work on volatile drugs. so no idea about that
but can i ask one question you r using a volatile drug can i know he name of drug and the disease system you are targeting
TGA is not very common for measurement of drug loaded into the polymer. It is better to use UV absorbance which has higher sensitivity but if you have no other way and just you can utilize TGA, then you can make different standards with different certain concentrations and find out your results.

As far as I know TGA analysis could be useful for calculating how much drug amounts bound on the surface of some inorganic nanoparticles such as gold nanoparticles n so on....So for ur case drug n polymer are organic n the other things if some of ur drug remain out side n hvnt encapsulated... how u can calculate loading efficiency unless u hv washed out non-encapsulated drug before...if u did like that so by considering molecular weight of polymer n drug rather than d amount of total sample u cn find that how much drug loaded in polymer micelle....
