I couldn't find the formula to calculate Advanced Vegetation Index of Landsat 8 products. I know the formula of AVI using Landsat 7. How do I calculate AVI for Landsat 8 Reflectance Data?
Hi Hasan, you may just use the bands which have same wavelength with Landsat 7 to calc it.
You can use the U.S. Geological Survey equation
EVI = 2.5 * ((Band 5 – Band 4) / (Band 5 + 6 * Band 4 – 7.5 * Band 2 + 1)).

The equation that you are looking for LANDSAT 8 is:
𝐴𝑉𝐼 = [(𝐵5 + 1 (65536 − 𝐵4)(𝐵5 − 𝐵4)]^(1/3)
take care that (.....) ^ (1/3) means that what is in parentheses is at a power of 1/3.
