I am conducting a research on the antecedents of innovation culture amongst students at Higher Learning Institutions. I'm still searching suitable model/ framework that I could adopt/ adapt. Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

I think, this question needs to be taken with great seriousness. The institution they study must inspire a learning organization. It must use empowerment and trust as important approaches to learning. The assignments given to the students should not be the ones that depend upon rote learning, but imagination and reflection. They need to be given exercises and projects that involve use of some innovative thinking and ideas. They can be asked to go to the field to explore answers of some of the projects. Practice makes a man perfect. That can lead to an innovative mindset.

Many thanks indeed for sharing the reference & your views. Can't agree more with you. Other than the institution and the teaching approaches, how about the external environment and personal factors? How do we include these factors for a holistic model of innovation culture?

Yes Yuz. Your query is quite appropriate. The whole external environment too has to be facilitative; otherwise one can not expect any startling results. Innovation culture is a big issue. State and its agencies must play a facilitative role. And, also those who have a genuine interest in innovation should be involved. That necessitates testing of the aptitude of the people concerned.
