There are "complex" research into the basic structure as well as the cosmic structure, happening at a never before pace. Can any one explain to me in plain language the concept researched in the attached paper!
"ATP levels in the mitochondrial matrix of HeLa cells are significantly lower than those of cytoplasm and nucleus. We also succeeded in measuring changes in the ATP level inside single HeLa cells after treatment with inhibitors of glycolysis and/or oxidative phosphorylation, revealing that glycolysis is the major ATP-generating pathway of the cells grown in glucose-rich medium. This was also confirmed by an experiment using oligomycin A, an inhibitor of FoF1-ATP synthase. In addition, it was demonstrated that HeLa cells change ATP-generating pathway in response to changes of nutrition in the environment." is from the first article in PNAS 2009 (Imamura et al)

......This chromatin must be remodeled to allow gene transcription, DNA replication, and DNA repair machineries access to the enclosed DNA. Chromatin-remodeling complexes require high levels of cellular energy to do their job. Wright et al. show that the energy needed to remodel chromatin can be derived from a source, poly-ADP-ribose, in the cell nucleus, rather than by diffusion of ATP from mitochondria in the cytoplasm, the usual powerhouse of the cell. Poly-ADP-ribose is converted to ADP-ribose and then to ATP, which can be used to fuel chromatin remodeling within the nucleus......We analyzed this question in the context of the massive gene regulation changes induced by progestins in breast cancer cells and found that ATP is generated in the cell nucleus via the hydrolysis of poly(ADP-ribose) to ADP-ribose. In the presence of pyrophosphate, ADP-ribose is used by the pyrophosphatase NUDIX5 to generate nuclear ATP. The nuclear source of ATP is essential for hormone-induced chromatin remodeling, transcriptional regulation, and cell proliferation. is from the second article in Science June2016 (Wright et al)
Obviously, the intracellular design / structure though based on basic science / physics (The Physics of Life: The Evolution of Everything. by Adrian Bejan) is not "reinventing the wheel". Why , then is it becoming more and more difficult for the neural network to "understand" what is going on in side each one of it's constituent cell?
Will someone throw light on this "climate change"?
