I want to do an In vitro investigation of different fungicide effectivity in poison food technique, and also use sufficient amount of tetracycline but every time bacterial contamination occurs, if any one have any idea to prevent contamination then please suggest me some tips ?
Hi. There are various reasons for contamination during microbial plating. I would like to suggest few useful practices.
1. Try some other antibacterial pellets (eg. Amoxicillin)
2. Fumigate the workspace regularly
3. Follow the proper autoclaving protocol for media preparation and glass-wares
4. Incubate the plates in an isolated place (away from the storage area of other cultures)
Apart from the above precautions, there may be handling errors from ourself. So Kindly avoid them and carryon.
