Aseerzadi is a popular Pakistani drama that highlights the theme of peers in the our society and how they marry twice and thrice in the name of getting male child who would continue their legacy. I want to inquire which mass communication theory should i apply to analyse the content of the drama?
I aim to identify the theme of the drama and also what are people's opinion about the drama?
Henna, I don't think that the play cant be considered as being gender biased. For one,it has a very very strong female character in the form of bari Sarkar. Second, the younger lead is a confident, vocal woman who is in control of her life and circumstances. The idea of marrying again and again for a male child is also shown in a very negative light. All in all, I think that the playwrite must be believer in girl power rather than otherwise.
