I want to apply non uniform loading (simple shear/bending etc.) to analyse size effects under large strains (10%). I am working with a spectral (FFT based) sovler. My RVE is a poly crystal produced by vorronoi tesselation in a Phase Field code (Open Phase). Since boundary conditions are periodic by default and such a loading is not compatible with such BCs. So any idea to do so?

in Spectral Elastic Solvers you can apply an averaged shear strain (e.g. by prescribing Voigt component 4,5 or 6). I am not familiar with the current version of OpenPhase you are using, but this should be possible with the AppliedStrain or AppliedStress or MixedBC solver options. However, large shear strains (in the sense of finite deformations) are not supported by the OpenPhase remeshing strategy, since the cuboid structure of the mesh must be preserved.

Thanks a lot for the idea, but I have already tried it. Actually I am trying to apply non uniform load (shear/bend etc. to amplify the effect of GNDs) in the domain of large deformations for which either a sandwich type RVE along with certain BCs or to rework on solver is required. But still stuck.
