I am writing my thesis in temperature distribution and heat transfer in Switchgear.

The Switchgear is supplied with 1000Amp current in 3 Phase circuit. For simplifcation currently I am only considering one copper conductor inside the enclosure having 400mm length, 80mm width and 15mm thickness. The orientation of the conductor is vertical.

When 1000Amp current is supplied through this conductor for one hour, what will be the temperature rise of the conductor ?

In addition to that I also need to find the temperature rise of air inside the enclosure because of that hot conductor. As it is a steady state condition, after a certain time the temperature rise will touch a saturation point after which the temperature rise will be negligible.

Please give some suggesstions how to solve this.
