A few days ago, I agreed with a university outside my country to do an analytical test for the coefficient of thermal expansion of a type of wax.. After paying the test fees, they sent me this data (chart with data) without a clear report... I hope someone has the idea of analyzing the chart-curve Help me with thanks.

Looking through your data:
- They applied a constant force of about 0.5 Newtons. This was calculated from your load (in grams) and converting to newtons by using the gravitational acceleration (9.8 m/s^2) or 1 g = 1 mN of force.
- I plotted your data (in image) using the displacement listed under the TMA column (in um if you review the text file). Note that delta L is the change in displacement, and L0 is the original sample thickness (10306.36 um)
- Considering the x-axis (temperature in Celsius) and the y-axis (deltaL/L0) you can determine the coefficient of thermal expansion using the equation deltaL / L0 = alpha * delta T. Here alpha is your thermal expansion coefficient.
- In terms of the plotted data in your post, those values are the expansion coefficient over those defined temperature steps (example. 68.64 * 10^-6 for the temperature range of 30 - 40 Celsius)
- See the [arrows] in the plot that I submitted. These are all changes in slope. Considering that the coefficient of thermal expansion is the slope in this case, you should have multiple alphas.
In short, your provided data can be utilized to determine your [alpha] for whatever temperature range you want. I've also supplied the excel document that I used to make these calculations.
