I am trying to design the outer structure of the machine body to withstand 30 kpa pressure.

I have tried using simple linear static analysis with Solidworks and Abaqus and applied the pressure to all internal faces and have achieved some results. based on these results, I have attached stiffners to the body to reduce deflection and maximum stress at certain areas.

I am now considering a non linear analysis with presure-time loading using two points of data(0s-30kpa, 0.01s-0kpa). and also using the stress strain data for the material used.

Is this the correct way of modelling a blast load and is it necessary or the simple linear analysis is sufficient?.

Which software would be easily available to do this for students/researchers?.

Solidworks and Abaqus were taking extremely long to do non linear analysis like this. Thanks in advance.
