The external energy source is required to create the plasma. If plasma is formed in the source tube (where power is coupled to plasma) and allowed to diffuse in the other tube (experimental tube) then how the characteristics of diffused plasma is diff. from main plasma? If the potential variation is not monotonic (in all directions from a reference point) then there may exist an electric field gradient and how the dynamical behavior of charged species get affected? how the ionization processes are different (in diffused plasma) than the main plasma? If E - field is not constant then ions will not accelerate with a uniform velocity then is there possibility to form a velocity shears? (please note: plasma is diffused from source tube to a 3D geomatery). please share your thoughts.

I am afraid there is no general answer to your question as the behavior of your plasma outside the source tube depends on many different factors (energy distribution functions, mean free paths of elastic and inelastic collisions, diffusion processes, boundary conditions, geometry of your chamber, geometry of your electric and magnetic fields, possible formation of strong particle beams, micro- and macro instabilities, etc...).
I guess the best way to determine this is just to measure whatever you can (starting with the basic plasma parameters like temperatures, densities and potentials) with spatial and temporal dependency.
Dear Mangi, I am not clear wt your dough in between Main plasma(Main plasma ??) and Diffused plasma, plasma always diffused to surface due to high electron mobility.
And you are right, if potential variation is not monotonic , the dynamics behaviors will change according to the equipotent surface developed in the system, and its obvious that shear will developed in non-monotonic field. Thank you.

There you can find concentration time evolution of various kind charged spices.
