Critical soil solution K (CKr) is the amount of K in the soil solution below which K from the non-exchangeable pool start to release. So, it is important to know the factors which may affect this CKr. It will be helpful to me if any body can provide with research findings.
We found that long-term wetland rice cultivation with potassium fertilization helped to increase the CKr value. This finding indicated that if we apply proper amount of K non-exchangeable K of soil will not be released or this fraction of K will increase. Otherwise non-exchangeable K will be exhausted due to crop cultivation without K fertilizer.
If the estimated CKr is very close to the estimated equilibrium solution K (CK0) values. The results cannot be used to assess the significance of the
threshold concentration of K+ release.
