i want to know , how should we add sulfur to molten steel in iron-making, in which method?
as tablet? granola? powder?
we manufacture alloy steel.
thanks
Sulphur additions are normally done in the form of cored wire. S containing core wire is added in the ladle furnace . It can also be added to the tapping stream
@ Mohammad Moodi Hope following link will be useful for you.

As I know the added of Sulfur to steel act as impurities and give low mechanical properties.
In general, it is added to improve machinability in form of cored wire.
It may be added as powder but inhomogeneity may cause severe deterioration of mechanical properties of steel.
Copper was used to enhance the machinability of steel more than sulfur.
thanks , but i want to know the best method for adding Sulfur as mentioned before.
before we use it as tablet but may be it's better to add as wire in ladle
Yes, the general practice is to add as wire.
Check with elingham diagram
I want to know How to make Hardox steel? Can we product it with Continues Casting Machine in billet shape and then forge it? what is the production process?
