Dear, which is more important between soft skills and life skills for the challenges of the 21st century?
When resources are dwindling, collaborations are broken down or difficult to forge, both life skills, and soft skills are needed, besides knowledge that is increasing with research. Students have to be educated and trained to be knowledgeable, innovative, besides being versatile in ICT. I observe that blue ocean strategies and innovations are dependent on ICT. Like other times in history, we are employed for hard skills and knowledge, but we could lose a job due to a lack in soft skills. Sometimes I wonder how many teachers view their responsibility in educating students who are half a generation younger. Thanks.
Last phase of 20 st century has pave the way to move toward 21 st century. The development of 21 st century has not move from the surface of the land but also to send their vision to cosmic environment with the movement of the planet in the sky .
The scientific & technological development has also the given the signal of the movement of the planet in the orbit where the contribution of Nasa certainly demand a word of appreciation .
With this for the proper education the study material with the necessary change in the development to be incorporated in the textbooks for the students. This gives them all the necessary information,knowledge with they are together in the classroom .Besides electronic media including Mobile & Internet are to play a very important part as student & education system make the electronic media as encyclopedia. This can be the achievement for the student & personal of other areas also .
This is my personal opinion
If relying on the role of technology, I am afraid will cause moral degradation. Therefore, in the 21st century educational needs where more emphasis between life skills and / or soft skills. Sorry this is just a thought that may be unpopular.

en cuanto a como debe ser la educación en el siglo XXI para afrontar los retos que nos depara podemos señalar lo siguiente.
Primeramente, debemos formular políticas educativas flexibles innovadoras es decir, debemos procurar que los diseños curriculares universitarios apunten a formar contenidos y también habilidades como aprender a resolver problemas, aprender a aprender, aprender a indagar, a prender a cuestionar a prender a desarrollar pensamiento critico autónomo e independiente.
cuando logremos eso en las universidades entonces podemos decir que estamos formando profesionales integrales con alto nivel de identidad social y alto sentido de responsabilidad profesional. Una formación basada en el enfoque de la educación por la complejidad procura desarrollar el pensamiento critico, y las inteligencias emocionales, necesarias pra un profesional en el siglo xxi.

I strongly agree with you Mr Asmuni. Education should not just promote technology and employability - but also (soft) life-skils such as etics, moral, empathy, culture, creativity etc. In the Scandinavian education system this has been an important debate the last 50 years.

Education can not be considered complete without soft skills and life skills. Technology and employment are associated with the physical development of human beings. But soft skills and life skills are very important for the integrated development of human being, i.e. physical, intellectual, social, moral and emotional. A wide range of problems today are associated with the last three aspects; that can be solved up to some extent with the help of these skills. Both are equally important.
