the gas stream is maybe 200ml/min and comprised of dry oxygen, and maybe 10% iodine gas. and is heated to about 400C.

I was thinking of cooling the gas to in a long tube and then passing it into a cryocooled SS pipe at -50C and trying to condense out  all the iodine. or bubbling the gas through a column of some non-polar solvent. hexane? ethanol? something I can easily  and safely dispose of. recapture and reuse of iodine/solvents would be ideal.

not angering any EPA/workplace safety regulatory bodies is the top goal.

any ideas? know of any apparatus designed for this?
