Multi genes responsible for one or more functions, does this really explain how plants survive unfavorable environment? Can we say every tree is one world or universe and all leaves are life present on it. every year leafs falls and new life grows again, which start their development from the way old leaves live their life.
Some times some external force like main tree provide vital life force which initiate new branch and fresh leaves. a new experience overall.
I hope i am clear with my view, do require though some experts opinion.
Plants respond to different kinds of stress through two predominant types of responses.These are induced resistance by triggering certain defence apparatus of plant through upregulation of dismutases and a acquired resistance that operates through certain regulatory mechanisms , most of them are polygenically controlled
