how big or less means differ is related with Standard deviation . there are misunderstanding about low and high Standard deviation values with the mean values. i need clear explanation on the high and low SD means in data interpretation. can we accept data when the SD is greater than the mean value?

Mean and SD values are two of the central tendency measures in descriptive statistics. More specifically, in a normal distribution curve, SD values indicate the amount of difference between a participant's test score and the scores obtained by the others in the group. For instance, a SD value of +2 indicates that the student's score shows that his/her relative standing among the group is 97% and only three percent of classmates outperformed him/her.
