Dear colleagues, I need to determine the crosslink density of thermosetting cyanate ester resin. Among the methods, which are presented in the literature, I chose the solvent-swelling method. For application of this method a Flory-Huggins polymer-solvent interaction parameter is required. This parameter can be obtained from osmotic pressure, vapor sorption, or inverse gas chromatography measurements. Cyanate ester resins are highly crosslinked polymers and they are insoluble in organic solvents. Thereby, how one can measure the Flory-Huggins parameter for cyanate ester resins?
