Hello.
I originally try to obtain the hydrogen scattering cross section with incident proton. However, over the range of incident particle energy what I interested in (about 2 eV) there are not much papers to be referred, especially experimental result.
Instead, papers for electron-hydrogen scattering cross section are relatively rich.
According to the Rutherford scattering formula, Coulomb scattering doesn't care about mass of the incident particle. It only depends on product of charges for the species participating the event and the incident energy.
In this sense, I assumed that the proton-hydrogen cross section is similar to the electron-hydrogen case and maybe I can cite e-H results.
Some theoretical papers seems supporting my reasoning but I need to get some feedback from the others.
Could you give me any comments on my thinking?
