Due to high electron concentration in a metal or transparent conducting film the NIR transmission falls sharply due to free carrier scattering or plasmon resonance.However, in case of metal NW based TCFs, one can get very high transmission in NIR region, even though the electron concentration is very high (>1021 cm-3).
Is there no plasmon resonance or free carrier scattering in case of metal NW based TCFs?

Transparent conductive metal oxide films like indium tin oxide or indium tin oxide are transparent for all wavelengths higher than a critical wavelength as their bandgap is wide and they cut transmission at shorter wavelength. As the material is thin its free carrier absorption in the infrared will be small.
Would you please give a reference or display the transmittance curves of the materials.

The nano wires will also show the plasmon resonance. In this case resonance peak may shift to still higher wavelength in near infrared. Because in the case of nanowire, peak position of the plasmon resonance is decided by the aspect ratio of the nanowire. I suggest you check your transmission spectra at higher wavelength. Cut of in transmission may have shifted to higher wavelength than the conducting film.
