there is no room for doubt that a numerical structural element (like beam, column or joint) should be verified by a similar experimental study.
the question is that how many models should be verified in a numerical study (specially when the size of elements are investigated)? is verifying one model enough?

It depends on the specimens analyzed, usually few models with different geometry, reinforcement details and types, and materials strength are enough.
I feel it depends on the geometry of the beam joint and availability of field data. If you verify the model with more field data then you will get more confident about your work and also your program will be well suited to the problem..ok all the best in your research..

what if the goal of the study is to investigate the effect of beam and column dimensions on the seismic behavior of RC joint? in other word, would verifying one numerical model by a similar experimental one be enough or not?would the results be reliable or not? ( one numerical model is verified by a similar experimental one and then its dimensions are changed to evaluate its effect)
