I am simulating an airport security checkpoint and for this i have defined multiple different experiments (scenarios), but i can't figure out how many replications i should run of these experiments.
There is no fixed number of replications to be considered. However, the reviewers of journal article suggest to consider as many samples as possible. To justify your claim, you should verify your method in several different scenes.
Generally, one copy is enough. But you might run it multiple times (ex: for Monte Carlo simulation, 20,000 times) and take the average values of the parameters. All the best Julia. Happy research!
There is no magic number, once will give you a base line, but as airports are fluid, I would recommend different times, days and even locations to see if your baseline results hold. Happy Research
