According to me Praveen, the following German saying from Bertold Brecht carries more realism.
"Erst das fressen und dan die Moral". Freely translated it means, first the food and then morals or science.
Well if we transpose that to natural science, it becomes, "Without water no life". Don't you think so? Maybe that's the difference between a materialistic biologist like me and a mathematician/physics practitioner ? like you.
How many persons will agree with my comment " Without Mathematics No Life"
Not sure the above statement "Without Mathematics No Life" should be taken literally or metaphorically.
If taking it metaphorically, mathematics are critical important as we need it for many things including calculating crops / foods yield & consumption, right measurements to make clothing, accuracy & right design to build our shelters etc.
If taking it literally, basic needs like food (including water), clothing & shelter are more important than mathematics during the critical moment of life or death.
Yes, I agree with you. The importance of mathematics in our lives could not be neglected. It is the language of science and the science is the basis of every development.
One cannot separate Man and Mathematics which is unthinkable. Man's life is interrelated to Mathematics. One cannot assume one's life without Mathematics
I totally agree with you. Life without math is impractical. Math actually helps us a lot in our daily living. I agree that without math, our life will be in chaos. It will be without equality and without fairness.
