Hello, I am currently in need analysis phase for my parenting module development. I am planning to conduct one-to-one interview - how many participants that I need to interview before I can do the thematic analysis and move forward to design and development of the module? In a research with a qualitative approach, I think that more important than the number of interviews to be carried out, is whether your questions are being answered in the interviews. The saturation sampling strategy for example, is widely used in public health studies. Therefore, the interviews will end when there is an understanding that the knowledge formed by the researcher managed to understand the group internal logic.
