According to my survey, they just do copy and paste the journals listed in scopus, ICI and WOS. And if the coverage of any journal gets end with this indexing, they will be removed from the list. But, this is not the fault of authors, this must be due the wrong management of journals. Then why, the authors suffer for these things?? I think, UGC must also have to approve the papers which where under coverage in this indexing at the time of their publication.
Also, they are taking too much time to update their list.
I am not satisfied with the list. There so many standard journals are missing. Even most of the journals present in the list are paid journals only.
The authors should not suffer due to the fault of publishers or editors of the journals. In stead of slashing journals' in bulk, the mechanism to test the quality of articles must be done case by caseif the UGC is serious.
