Right the moment I am studying the presence of pathogenic Coliform bacteria in organic compost. I worked on HiCrome Coliform Agar w/ SLS - Himedia as selective media. According to the instruction, the positive result supposed to show within 48 h of blue colonies from the inoculation. In my case, the results showed up on the 3rd day. Can I confirm the results or not? it is important to highlight that every time I repeat the experiment I got some positive results after 72 h.

I think blue colonies after the specified period should not be considered as coliforms. Coliforms are rapid growers and usually can be detected within 24 hours
vérifiez si le milieu de culture ne contient un substrat susceptible d'être dégradé par la glucuronidase. Si oui, les colonies bleues feraient penser à Escherichia coli.
