Is any software available for this? I shall be thankful for your valuable suggestions.The no. of isolates is more than 300, so it is difficult to go for sequencing.
Biochemical test are essential for the characterization of unknown isolate but you can not called it confirmatory test... it is a presumptive test.
You can't say how many biochemical test are required... the more biochemical tests you preformed the more closely you relate your unknown isolate with known isolates according to Bergey's manual.
For too many isolates, if you can afford.. purchase BD Phoenix™ Automated Microbiology System. The website link is given below. otherwise you have to go for manual (traditional) biochemical identification or can use some ready made kits & identification media provided by HIMEDIA, SIGMA, etc,

I will certainly go through the link..But I have done testing through Hi-enterobacteriaceae identification kit, provided by Hi-media laboratory, what about this? Beside this, Should I go for Berey's manual or manual provided by Hi-media?
